Blueberry Banana Oatmeal Bar

This blueberry bar was in JRoskom BeActive’s last snack drop. It is a great choice for a snack or even breakfast. It has the right carbs, proteins, and fats along with being full of micronutrients. This recipe has no sugar and white flour. When people begin to eat less refined sugar, the body begins to reprogram and they often find that they no longer crave processed, sugary foods. They crave real food and part of the enjoyment is knowing they are eating foods that are nourishing the body. When I look for recipes online, I often go to www.glutenfreeonashoestring.com and www.runningwithspoons.com. The recipes are healthy and easy to modify. The recipe was from Running With Spoons with a slight modification. I added 1 1/2 Tbsp of melted coconut oil and instead of using 1/4 cup of maple syrup, I used 1/4 cup of a mix of maple syrup and honey.
