Not all sugars are created equal. Some are complete junk carbs with no nutritional value, are highly, processed, and aren't partnered with a protein or fiber like table sugar and high fructose corn syrup. Although honey and coconut sugar are processed in the body the same as table sugar, they are less processed and have nutritional value. Manufacturers are required to disclose the amount of sugar that is in a product, but it is often challenging to find it in the ingredients list.
